FIRST of all, I want to give myself a pat on the back. For a week spent in Thailand with the man I love, I packed just one backpack and one small duffle bag (compliments of the amazing DeuxLux, and both now on major sale!) That being said, I had a bunch of people inquiring about the outfits they saw on Instagram, so I wanted to make sure you knew where to get some of my favorite vacation looks for yourself!
I love a good paisley print, and I adore the unexpected oversized pattern on this dress. The tie at the neck adds interest, and the dress flatteringly nips in at the waist. It comes in petite sizes as well for my fellow shorties, woohoo! You can wear this dress with sandals, wedges, espadrilles, boots… you name it. Basically you need it in your closet 🙂
This was my favorite day of the trip… Another blog entry to come on my insanely amazing day at Elephant Nature Park, where the elephants are free of exploitation and are rehabilitated after various injuries and psychological traumas from their past lives. This was definitely our no-frills day, fashion-wise, but that is no excuse to look sloppy! Cute tank is by vegan, Texas-based, healthy-lifestyle-advocating company SunLovinRoots, and is on sale! Drawstring shorts are super inexpensive and super lightweight and comfy; perfect for warm weather. Pink sandals are sold out but similar can be found here.
The sunrise in Phuket was ridiculously gorgeous, so Matt and I resisted the urge to hit the snooze button and throw the phone across the room, and instead took walks on the beach every day. A long, white, lacy dress is easy and romantic. I tied the bottom in a knot to keep it out of the wet sand, and took photos of the beauty around me. This dress is from Free People but is now sold out, but you can find a similar look for less than $30 here (pair with a white slip); cool looking, bohemian style camera strap is from SamAndKateDesign.
I am a major lover of anything high waisted, especially swimsuits. They tend to accentuate the smallest part of your waist, make your booty look cute, help disguise any vacation food binging, and have a fun and retro vibe. In this case the top has major support with a minor push-up effect… I can’t say enough about this suit, honestly. I love it. And for under $40, it really is a steal. It is available here, and I’ve linked the same in a different pattern here in case you prefer watermelon to pineapple. Similar, vintage-style sunnies can be found here.
Another flattering swimsuit at a super affordable price point (less than $30! Available here.) I love this funky necklace, but full disclosure– I ended up taking it off before hitting the pool once I realized the potential for a tan-line fiasco. I’ve worn the necklace with boyfriend jeans and a cute little cami top… Nothing wrong with a little self love!
