The Cause: 10% of sales at the Saks event went to the amazing non-profit MSPCA (Stella is a huge supporter of animal welfare… If you are an animal lover too, check them out!)
The Threads: Before Stella’s arrival, I met with a few other bloggers and stylists to try view Stella’s handbag & shoe collection and to try garments on. (FYI: I would say that generally her clothes are a tad intentionally oversized; I wore a 25 jean, and was a 36 in all others.) These were my favorites:
silver shoes worn with all// lace bell-sleeved dress & black fringed handbag //striped rugby dress (green and blue version available in-store only)// black and gold jumpsuit// white blouse (short and ruffled in the back) & boyfriend jean //black sheer-detail dress// cornflower blue blouse & star denim// black/leopard jumpsuit
(All looks available in-store at Boston’s Sak’s Fifth Avenue; if you have any questions, feel free to contact my preferred shopper there– Paula Acosta– at [email protected], and you will receive a prompt response.)
The Event: It was by far my favorite runway show I’ve attended. Elegantly presented vegetarian and vegan appetizers were served (think “tofu in a blanket” and mini-falafel burgers). The models played Duck-Duck-Goose on the runway to melody of greatest hits sang by an all-boys a cappella group. Stella was gracious and gorgeous as usual. She was really excited to be featured on a vegan fashion blog, and was so easy to talk to.
