Sometimes– whether due to an extra glass of Pinot, or to an extra-late night working– I just can’t bring myself to put in my contact lenses. Time to reach for a pair of glasses and go! But, contrary to the habits of many, said glasses do NOT warrant an automatic pairing with a pajama-inspired outfit. Your style doesn’t have to suffer, people!… Glasses can be a really fun and unexpected addition to your look. My eyeglasses lineup is as follows: tortoiseshell cat eyes; Harry Potter-inspired round frames; and vintage-looking, girly pink “granny glasses” (my favorite).
Yesterday, I paired my rose-colored babies with a boho-femme maxi and a floral clutch. I believe it is important to always dress for myself (you should, too!), but I really wanted a romantic look for my boyfriend’s birthday. When he saw me, his eyes lit up! I typically dress much edgier and funkier, so it was nice to mix it up and be soft. I love the pop of texture that comes from the clutch; plus, it is super affordable, can be worn with a strap if you’d prefer, and is perfect for the season!
